Can anyone help. I've got a vango 900 and the last two occassions that I've been out with it I've found that the carbon fibre poles have snapped.

It's happened twice now to the same section, the main black poles that hold up the main canopy, the 2nd one in the set as it comes away from the ground just bellow the metal finnial. And now a grey one that supporst the bedrooms.

Jack

I can't help much but didn't like your blue face.
I presume you can get replacements by either going to the place you got the tent from, or straight to Vango. I'm sure someone will replace the poles.

As a matter of interest how did they snap?

Cath

could be a common fault with the carbon / fiberglass poles as i`v just replaced 2 of mine, wile i was in getting them another 4 people had handfulls of the same poles

know mine is a suncamp but the princable is the same - check the size ( thickness ) mine were 11mm and the replacments i got were 11.4mm and the kit had enough to replace the full pole instead of just the one that had snapped and i still had 2 left. cheap enough aswell £10 per kit.

dont know if they have increased the size for greater support or just because thats all they had, went away with it at the weekend and the new poles supported the tent with no prob`s and stood up to the wind better  less movement in the body of the tent.

Contact Vango.  They guarantee their poles.  Explain the situation and they should replace the poles for free and maybe you will be providign them with soemthing they weren't aware of.
