Just to post about my new tent, not much info about on these so thought I would do a kinda review.
After struggling with my new vario 6 putting it up I thought that there must be an easier way to have less time putting tents up and more time drinking. Sunncamp vario 6 was an hour ( 1st and last time in wind) , my previous tent was a royal monte carlo 4 which was up in half an hour .
So, this weekend we goes away ( no kids with us , although the tent sleeps 4 as 2 double air beds will fit in it ) and found a pitch. As usual we were late arrivals but unusually we were not the free campsite entertainment .
Looked at clock and GO. Opened boot took tent out , put in 4 pegs by hand and connected compressor . While the tent was blowing up set up 2 chairs and folding table. 4 minutes later the tent was blown up. Started blowing up airbed and pegged out 4 guy wires. Assembled BBQ. Put airbed in tent and sleeping bags on top . Total time was 10 minutes and this was a first attempt.
Very pleased with the tent , it didnt go down on me ( does that sound right?) , didnt blow away . Ok not as much room as a vario 6 etc but as a weekend tent it was brilliant . We also have a gelert quick pitch but that really is too small. Looks like the sunncamp has to go as no room in shed for 4 tents .
I bought the tent from ebay but had to have it posted here from the USA. You can buy them from UK but much more expensive. I honestly dont work for them but just wanted to say they are great. Some pics on my profile of the tent .
