Hi - just had a lovely weekend away in the Monty 6 - the second time we have pitched it. We tried an idea I had picked up on here of putting the roof bars in then raising the tent leg by leg... it seemed to be easier (and it certainly came down easier doing it that way).
My question is: I have noticed that both time we have pitched this tent that the ground sheet is off the ground at the side with the porch (and tension straps) and more baggy at the other side. Is that because you lay the tent out, pitch it, then tension it pulling the tent towards the porch side?
Do you have to do up the tension straps (what purpose do they serve)? and does anyone try to make their sig sit flat or is it just me having that problem? Or is it more to do with what angle the upright poles are at?
Thanks for any further tips on this.
