Many thanks for the replies to my condensation problem. I think the most useful advice was to "NOT BRING WET STUFF INTO THE TENT!" (very sensible and something that hadn't occured to me). We went off last weekend and didn't suffer at all.
So here we are two weeks into the summer hols and we've been away twice, and we're going away this weekend too!
If you'd suggested camping to me 2 months ago, I'd have told you where to go (my last experience of camping was with Guides age 14 where I was cold/wet for 4 days and vowed never to go again).
With the summer hols coming up and nothing booked I decided to buy the camping gear just to see how we got on. I feel like I've been given the best new toy ever. Camping is a great outdoorsy existance, and ok the kids still bicker just as much when we're away but at least they're not stuck in front of the PC or tv all day as they would probably otherwise be and although our 12 year old is allowed to take his game boy once the charge runs out thats it.
MUCH RESPECT to UKCS
