We have a 15lt fridge that plugs into both the cigarette lighter and mains.  Getting a mains connector for our tent was the best thing we ever did.  I did look for ages online for fridges but ended up buying one from Focus DIY (after being ripped off on ebay :( .

Hope this helps

We have a three way fridge that runs from gas, 12v or mains. It is excellent - we bought it from Towsure a few years ago and we wouldn't go away without it. It's also brill for a beer fridge at bbqs etc.

Does drain your car battery.  Plus our socket in the boot of the Zafira, I think I am right in saying this, turns itself off after an hour if the car is not running.

We traded our coolbox in for a three way fridge, which works brill on gas in the colder seasons as it warms up the tent, but seems good on electric too.

Would recommend splashing out on one of these, you won't regret it.

We have a 3 way fridge in the tent and recently bought a fridge that sits in the car and runs off the car, for use during our recent holiday to France. It was a god send!

Hi there. We have a Combicool 3 way fridge which we bought from Towsure for a great price. It is absolutely brilliant. It works on gas, 12 volt or mains. It is so good you may have to turn it down even in very hot weather. You can be confident that your food AND beer will be beautifully COLD! The bonus is....it is HUGE...it holds loads of stuff.
Have fun!

Hi,

We have been looking at fridges as we have been just using a cooly box and putting ice in it as the ice seems to work alot better than the ice blocks, the problem being is getting hold of the ice some sites sell it some dont.

Will have a look at this Towsure,

Thanks

Brayee

The answer is yes.  You should only pug the unit in while the car is travelling.  If you leave it plugged in while the car is not running the battery will drain within a few hours.

The best way to use these is to buy a transformer thingie and have an electric hookup on site.

We bought a camping gaz cooler box for around £60 and found out if you run it on battery power it only lasts around 7 hours, it was such a pain in the ass keep re charging the battery on the car, ended up buying a spare one for £60, wished we had bought a hook up and used it electrically we would of saved a lot of money and time.
