We`ve been camping for about 18 months now and fortunately have never had to set up in the rain. We have a royal sassari 6 which has an inner tent which has to be pitched first and then the top skin after.

We really, really want to go camping this weekend but the forecast isn`t good and I`m just wondering how do other people cope with this problem. If we pitch in the rain then surely the inner tent will get soaked and let all the rain through. Now we could sit in the pub and wait for the rain to stop, but what if it doesn`t?

Advice please folks, I`m having camping withdrawal symptoms!

Have a plan of who will do what as it'll save time. Have the outer laid over the inner while your putting it up. A pain but it does work.

Thanks for the replies folks. I`m really not bothered about me getting wet it`s the inner tent I`m worried about.

I`d put the tent up in the nude if I thought it would help!
