Hi, hope I could pick a few brains.

I'm looking for 12v power for an inspection tube light, and to run a 5inch b&w telly and possibly one of those 6 can size coolers.

Am I better off going for a leisure battery, or I have seen a battery booster/power pack type thing in machinemart that I can recharge in the car from the fag lighter in the boot?

I'm a bit tight on space as I only have a small car.

Does anyone have experience of either of these set ups?

you wont really be able to run a cooler as they are too power hungry.

reckon you should be ok with the booster, but the leisure battery would be best in the long run...

I dont have either though!

Whether you are using a leisure battery or a power pack, it all depends on the capicity of the battery and the rating of the equipment being used.  The lamp and TV use relatively little power, and will probably only be used a couple of hours per day, so they should be o.k.
The cooler could be rated at anything up to about 5 amps at 12 volts, which would use 120 amp hours per day if left running continuously.
If you are tight on space then you may be better using a small battery or power pack for the light and telly, and cooling down the cooler periodically from your car when driving.

When not using an EHU I run my telly from a Ford Fiesta battery (the smallest & cheapest I could find). I have had this for a few years and it is still going strong, I just charge it before I go away.

Power packs are ideal for your purposes. You can recharge them via the ciggie lighter in your car if you're out for the day. Good for jump starts also.
