We started with an Arapaho 4 - nice tent. Stood up very well to heavy rain. The only reason we changed was that we needed something bigger - after the weekend when it rained when pitching, rained all night, the best part of the next day, and night, and when we were taking down. Decided then that we needed something bigger. This was the only reason we changed.
I have a tent for sale, made by Vango (so has the Vango lifetime guarantee), but is actually a replica of the Lichfield Commanche. It's brand new, only selling as it's an 8 berth and so too big for 2 of us! Misguided present. RRP is £299.99, but can get cheaper on web, I'll accept £175, plus you'll need to pay postage if you can't collect. Interested? It's the vis-a-vis style - face to face, it's blue (navy and sky) in colour.

hi,we were camping virgins until last week!! a gang of us went away and between us we had bought 3 aparaho 6dlx tents, the weather was extremely windy(felt a bit like dorothy) but our 3 tents withstood all the elements!!! very impressed with litchfield tents
Hi Lisa, I've got a Lichfield Albatross, for weekends. It looks lika a smaller version of the Arapaho and is really good quality with plenty of room for us ( usually 2 adults and 3 children). Lichfield are made by Vango so the quality is there. I'd recommend Lichfield to anyone, cheers.

Just ordered a Arapaho 4 DLX, after three solid days of tent searching my head couldn't take anymore so decided this would be the best choice and size for the money.
The front corridor looks handy, in our case to dump 100 ton of walking gear whilst up in Scotland all next month!
Using it this weekend for a dry run, i'll give you a verdict unless you have one by then.
