thinking about this tent but can't find any reviews or threads. looks like it has the same quality as the homestead range (though a little less slug-like!!!), but with SIG. any views much appreciated.

thanks

Sorry Phil...I haven't and I may be stating the obvious but have you tried a search on here for that name or were you just flicking through threads?  Don't get mad...only askin.

Hi Phat Ninja,

Perhaps a bit late for you but...

I've just bought  a halo 104 but unfortunately it hasn't arrived yet so I can't give you  a first hand 'review' of it.

There's a terra nova appreciation club thread you could look at (http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=3&TopicID=44329&SearchPagePosition=1&search=wild+country&searchMode=allwords&searchIn=Topic&forum=3&searchSort=dateDESC&ReturnPage=SearchI I used this as part of my research into which tent to buy and people who have these tents seem to rate them.

If you'rer still looking and do buy one then go for the 2006 version (I ordered mine from world of camping) as they're considerably cheaper and you can still buy the porch extensions for them from terra nova. The 2007 versions won't take the porch extensions.

Here's a review I did earlier in the year. Since writing it my opinion hasn't changed, if anything I'm more of a fan as it has stood up to some pretty rotten wind and rain and have used the extra porch extension which has made a great difference. You can also zip 2 halos together and have a beast of a tent!!!

Did you ring them up about this?  Can't find anything about it on their web site.  How much is the extension + how big?  Wouldn't mind one for my Halo 73

The porch extension is 1m, we got ours free when we bought the tent. It doesn't seem much but it does make a difference. I'd be interested in finding out how much they are as World of Camping did sell them for £50 but they're not listed on their website now. I fancy adding another metres to the porch!!!

Also, you can zip 2 halos together via the porches so for a growing family you could get two tents and just use one for weekends or both for longer holidays!! I just can't convince the OH on this.

Now THAT would be some tent!  I can just imagine the site owner's reaction when you tell them the dimensions.  Maybe you could have one halo for the kids and one for the grown ups, with a few porch extensions to give a bit of distance between the two!

I've been trying to find a halo 53 2006 model at a reasonable price but not had any luck, as I'd like to try zipping them together!
