please help, we just returned from a very damp holiday, water coming in from every seam! only told we might need to seal along bottom of doors. seams are tape sealed but leaking from all little add-on hooks for holding up inner-tent and side poles etc.. and from 'plastic' roof windows, anyone else having problems? we brought 2 tubes of sealant 7g each for £5.99 the pack, with the size of this tent it'd cost about £40.00 for the whole tent, but the doors still leaked anyway any ideas???? £340.00 for a leaking tent is not funny
We've had tent for 4 months, only 2nd time its been used, shop we brought it from said he needs to speak to his supplier which will take a few days but won't give a full refund as it's been used!!
We have the vario 500 and back in april it went on its first trip..it leaked from the SIG seam, the one at the front. Took it back and got an exchange no probs,he said he would send it back to sunncamp for a refund. Went away 2 weeks ago to Dorset and it rained..All was good and no leaks thankfully.
I would say that you should be able to exchange for sure if not get a refund.
No, it shouldn`t leak like that. But are you sure some of it wasn`t condensation? Condensation often gathers and drips from toggle points and other collecting areas. If you have the right conditions (lots of people sleeping in the tent, humid conditions, sudden drop in temperature at night, ventilation restricted) then some tents can literally be running with condensation in the morning.
