we have just returned from our second camping trip, but unfortunately this time we had horrendous rain and thunderstorms. we found that there was a lot of condensation i think ( if you rubbed your hand on the inside of the flysheet it would get wet) on the inside of the flysheet and it came through to the inner tent as well even though they were not touching. i was wondering if this was quite normal with tents or is it just a problem with our specific tent. any comments would be appreciated
It's quite normal with most tents. We take a small fan heater (the little Challenge one from Argos which costs under £10) and even in the height of summer, we put it on for half an hour and all the condensation disappears. When we use our tent in the cooler months and have the fan heater on low throughout the night, we have no condensation at all.

We had storms and rain on last outing with the Monty and had no condensation which i put down to the fab flaps and good ventilation in general. Mmmmm maybe i was wrong
We had terrible rain and wind on our first outing in our Monty but we didn't have any condensation. We did have a gas heater going before bed though so maybe that helped. We have a heater that runs from small cans of butane (like a small camping calor gas fire). It was great, it kept us nice and warm and doubles up as a patio heater if your sat outside at night.
We paid £15 for ours which is a bargain, it is the same as the one below but not a Gelert. We got it from B & M and it has been brilliant. The Gas lasts about 3.5 hours on full. B & M also had the cannisters for 4 for £5 which is cheap.
