reply for vario 6
Hi ive got the vario 6 + which ive used in strong winds and heavy rain and ive had no probs with it, although having said that I have spoken to a couple of people with the same tents who say that their tents let a bit of rain in around the zips (on the yellow fabric) when the tents were new. They then said that the problem resolved it’s self.
I just bought an awning for the tent from a local dealer and mentioned that some of the tents leak around the zip and he said that the one he has on show did the same for the first time it got wet then it sorted its self out ? the only thing I can think of is the fabric needs to swell up a bit to make the fibres tighten up and make it water tight…………as I mentioned before though a have had no problems with my tent and im very pleased with it ! i bought my tent second hand for £250 and it was only 3 months old so look around first.
