Can anyone help we have just purchased a Vango Diablo 400

We hope to put it up in garden if it stays dry but read instuctions as I might I cannot

see where th pegs go that  are looped on top. It's like the loop sits flat on the ground. I think I'm being thick or need to change my glasses

I may be wrong but I think they are to hold the porch ground sheet down, thats what I've used them for any way.

Someone please correct me If I'm wrong.

Great Cath, couldn't see what else to do with them.

How long have had you 900, we're in a bit of a dilema, going to Flower of May this weekend and their pitches are 6x6 m ,were hoping to squeeze it on and put car in car park our friends are at the side of us and we could encroach we hope!

What do you think, ever had any probs with pith sizes?

Laus

We don't because we tend to go to farmer's fields who don't care about how big our tent is.

I'm not sure you'll get it onto 6x6m though. It's about 8x8m.

If you look on camp sites there's a list of sites that take big tents. (If I was clever I could give you a link to the page but sorry I'm not!)

Nice tent though.

No it's our second, and I love the tent, but it is so big, great for our two little ones to run round in.

We are hoping that it will squeeze on without car at side and asking for an end pitch or something.

Our Friends have been before and said they have seen large tents like ours there before, I am scared and thinking of taking a back up tent but don't know which to go for could do with a smaller one for shorter trips, what about the 600?

Would be gutted not to use our 900 tho we are there till tuesday and could do with space

Laus

We also have 900, and yes they are great and nice and roomy for the kids, we had 6 children and 4 adults in ours on our holiday for a small birthday party and it coped well and we didnt feel cramped

As for pitch size, we make a point of telling the campsite that we have a Vango Diablo 900 when we book, if they then say anything about the size then we have already declared it and they accepted the booking. That said, we tend to go for small sites of less than 50 pitches and we have never had a problem with size.

Hope you get on ok and have loads of fun.

We only go camping to see what we have forgotten and what we need to get for next time. If only we could remember where we put the list..................

We've had a 600 as well, but the pitch size isn't that much smaller, so if you think you need a smaller one I'd go for something totally different.

hi

if i remeber correctly the pegs with the rings on are to peg out the bedrooms at the back,   there should be the same amount of pegs as there is pegging tags

didn't you have a peg diagram with the tent ?

Trailer in Tow

I don't think they are for pegging bedrooms. Our 900 is the 2006 model and we only got 3 of those pegs. There are 3 holes in the (stripping oops!!! my typing is bad sometimes) strapping in the porch so I guess they are for them.

We kept the pegs from the 600 we had felled in a gale and have used spares to peg down porch ground sheet or you trip over it as you come in.
