Hi,hoping like mad some people will chicken out this weekend as we are putting tent into car and just taking pot luck on saturday hoping to find somewhere in peak district! If we cant find anywhere its not so bad as we are only 30 miles away so will have a nice drive if nothing else (also have already purchased essential lubrication,if nessesary can be consumed at home, with telly;take away,heating,bath...god what am I doing...have fun folks)
Got wet last weekend in Norfolk but off again this weekend to Canal Side in Shropshire, yes we're going with The Admiral.Been watching the forecasts and no 2 are saying the same thing so either we're going to get wet or we aren't!!
Who cares? We've camped in monsoons and typhoons and survived!

Yes we're definitely still going (to Canal Side in Shropshire). As far as I'm aware the weather forecast for the weekend is reasonably ok, not brilliant sunshine, but no torrential rain storms either.
We were there last weekend and it did not stop raining from the time we put the tent up to the time we took it down.,
This was our first ever camp but really enjoyed the whole weekend. In actual fact listening to the rain at night was quite soothing
I have just ordered two of those for my middle angels(6,3).
We are off on Monday morning for the week. No EHU, no heater. Lots of books, toys and blankets! OH is coming only to put the tent up and coming back to london to work on Tue(couldn't take time off) and leaving me there with our four kids. My friends think i am mad. Do you?
well if you're mad... so am I!!!!! same situation here.. we go Saturday for 8 nights and OH only managed to get one day off... so he'll return to home on Tues eve, will work wens/thurs/fri andhe will drive back after work Friday. thus getting another two nights...
Weather near Weston super Mare was fantastic this weekend, did have a few showers, mainly at night and one showery day but I came home with a sun tan! So glad we went.
just got back from Swanage, we were due to stay until tomorrow, but the kids acted up so much last night (through the night) that this morning I said, "thats it, we are going home!".
Think they thought I wouldnt do it, but maybe they will learn for next time!
Must say I am really cross about it, was looking forward to the trip all week, and it ended up lasting a total of 28 hours.
Thats a shame Johnny, ours have been miserable all day but it rained heavily in the night and we all woke up due to the sound on the tent. That meant all of us and dog then needed the loo! Never mind eh, we are going to Trowbridge on the 8th Sept for the UKCS mini meet which will be our last trip this season. Looking forward to winter as I have a few things I would like to buy for next season :)
Just got back from Builth Wells Wales. No problems Today and yesterday, Friday and Saturday had some showers but didnt stop us having a BBQ every night.
