I was just wondering what happens to canvas tents when they get past their best. As I am in need of some old canvas to make a cover for my little sailing dinghy. If any of you know the where abouts of a sad and lonely old canvas tent, gathering dust, cluttering the garage maybe (hopefully somewhere near Wiltshire) then let me know!!!!!

Or a good place to look for old tents is Scout jumble sales. I`ve seen several canvas tents at Scout sales.

There were some tent inners and outers as spares / oddments for £10 each at the Yeomans tent exhibition at the Japanese water gardens, Nottingham where I went to recently (last week), if your'e not near here it may be worth trying a different exhibition? Good luck. Anita
