I have got 2 boys ( very exitable boys!!) and have an 8 man cyprus tent. any ideas on what heater to buy?????

how efficient and safe are the halogen heaters?  I've been thinking about one of these but also have 2 boisterous and clumsy kids!

i think they are very good, but you have to remember they do give out quite a lot of light.

I would stick with a decent fan heater as long as it has a thermostat control. Never had a problem with them. Light and easy to use, and does not kick out any light.....handy when you are getting ready for bed......silhouette....know what I mean!

they are ok but i found that you need a heater with a fan built in. if any body knocks them over they automaticly cut out

We have a small halogen heater,got it from poundstretcher about £9.Used it at the weekend,they are great and very safe,if they do happen to get knocked over they cut off.

We have the £10 fan heater from Argos and it's great. It gives out plenty of heat, has 2 heat settings and a cold blower and a cut out for safety. We use it in a big tent and for drying out wet towels clothes etc

We use a fan heater on sites we have a EHU hook up and are looking at getting a black cat heater for sites we dont have EHU.

We bought a greenhouse heater for £40 from either Focus or B&Q, can`t remember which now. It is condensation and drip proof, ideal for a tent. It has a thermostat and cuts out if it is knocked over. It also acts as a fan in warm weather. It`s the best £40 we have spent and is more than capable of keeping our large XXL warm throughout the night.

Go for the halogen heater. They usually have 3 heat settings, ocillate, and they switch off when tipped, plus its safe to touch the protective grill without burning yourself (excellent for wee hands).
