Good Afternoon, everyone!

We have a Coleman Bispace 500 just for the 2 of usfor a couple of years now. We love the space and find it comfortable and weathr-proof HOWEVER ... have had to cut short 2 holidays now due to windy conditions making us feel very insecure, with the dome blowing inwards and pegs pulling up. So we are now looking for a smaller, lower and geodesic design which would be comfortable enough for a week away with all our stuff. If anyone has any recommedations I would be really grateful.

Would not somthing like a Montana 4 be more stable, with the steel poles and all-on SIG, stopping the wind from getting under?

Or are you after an expedition tent, whih would also be easy to carry?

The two I've seen that look like the sort of thing are the Wynnster Curlew 4 and the Sunncamp Evolution.

Just wondered if anyone else had experience of anything of that type.

We're too old for expedition tents - I like to be able to stand up!!

If you have room in your car (as there's only two of you), why not consider a canvas frame tent which will take almost anything the weather can throw at it. There are plenty of second hand bargains around, so you should be able to pick one up for a reasonable price, and they last 20-30 years, so even if you buy a 10 year old frame tent which has been looked after, it should last you at least another 10 years.

Our 5 berth Cabanon Julie fits in the car with all our other gear for a 6 day holiday - we just leave the 2 berth bedroom at home & have extra living space.
