Hi all. Phoned today to book for ripley caravan park and told him that we had hartford xxl, but was told we needed to tell him tent size as he didnt recognise tent makes. What size pitch would we need. 

Thanks to anyone who can help.

A large one!! The tent appears to be 7.70x x 7.00 (ish)m - you then need to allow around a metre in each direction for guyropes so your tent will need around 8.70m x 8.00 metres.   As well as that most campsites will want you to get your car on your pitch as well unless you plan to keep it in a separate carpark.

Pitch sizes vary from site to site, the C&CC reckon they aim for 11m x 11m BUT you have to leave 6m between units (excluding guy ropes).
