Lol no, it makes you sound like you've had too many beans!! Seriously, points all taken about the windbreaks, I can see people want and need them for different reasons.
Ours came in handy this year as we needed for cooking behind, actually that was the only reason why we put it up, it was bought at the beach for the beach!
I like the idea of the 2 doors, back door for cooking with windbreak and front door for sitting out and being sociable!
i saw someone who had a front and back opening tent and they made themselves a little backgarden by putting their windbreaks up against a hedge it was a great idea if you have kids or dog etc unfortunatly my tent only opens at the front
I feel the same, even though we have a windbreak we do not use it completley round the entrance. I like the idea of sitting there looking out to the campite with my cuppa or the odd bottle or two of wine (sorry i mean glass NOT!!) and speaking to other happy campers as they go by, its what makes it great.
Crispie, I think that's what I meant.... I don't have a garden at home though, so might just be making the most of a field, sitting with a glass or 6, looking at a view for a change, when most people (I guess) have a garden all the time.
I don't like to leave my dog on a tether all the time in camp as he runs around the guy ropes causing tangles etc., so a couple of windbreaks in a semicircle at the front of the tent gives him a set perimeter. We also have windows in ours so as to be as sociable as possible.
It is also very true that it keeps kids / drunks away from guys and doorways uninvited (apart from the drunks already in our camp that is!).

------------- The Sun always shines on TV.(and not on my caravan!)
On our last trip we bought one simply for shelter from the wind and to aid with cooking.
Then due to the ignorance of some campers/caravanners had to buy a second just to protect the guy ropes and get some privacy from people who insisted on passing our tent on the wrong side (we had to pitch next to a row of Hawthorn trees which they had to squeeze past, so it couldn't have been comfortable passing through) where the path was only a few feet away on the other side of the tent!!
Aside from that they are ideal to keep the chill off your back as you're relaxing in the evening with a nice camp fire going.
