We have not long come back from 2 weeks in Wales and some of the weather we had was appalling!!  Torrential rain and very strong winds really put our Monty through it's paces.  The good news was that Monty didn't let us down at all, we did not have even one leak and although the tent billowed with each gust, the poles were solid and the tent didn't move.

I must admit that I spent a few nights looking up at the tent from my airbed, unable to sleep because of the noise, whispering encouragement to her to keep going!!!

The SIG helped as well, no drafts made the inside really cozy in the evenings.

I know there have been some reports recently about Monty's leaking so I just thought it would be nice to share our very positive experience with everyone.

Our Monty 12 had a hairy couple of nights recently too (also in Wales!). Apart from the sides billowing a little, we had absolutely no problems. The torrential rain one night scared me half to death mind you - and just confirmed that choosing a tent with a full SIG was the best option. The next morning we saw no less than FOUR fellow campers taking their groundsheets outside to clean (and dry!).
