Hi everyone.

We bought an EasyCamp Ravenna a couple of years ago.  It has done 3 weekend trips to North Yorkshire (Gale force winds once and thunder storms and torrential rain another!!), one week long trip to Scarborough and a two week pitch in France.

I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on whether I would have to re-waterproof the outer sheet and how often I would have to do this.

THANKS.

Too much thinking gives me a headache!

There is often a lot of discussion on this but from my experience, it doesn't hurt to waterproof the outer.  It makes the water "bead" and it runs off much better once waterproofed.

I have a 40 year old fishing umbrella which I use Fabsil on every three or four years and it's as waterproof as the day I bought it.

We also do our bivvies and fishing shelters regularly and they also remain waterproof after more years than I care to remember.

Thanks for your replies....it's not leaking yet so I think I'll leave it for another year.
