Well i'm gonna risk going somewhere close this weekend. Will probably stay in Suffolk and get wet but hey never mind. I remember walking on Felixstowe beach one October in a summer tom we actually sat on the beach for a while.
I popped into Argos for a reduced price double airbed as well as a discounted 300 orgasm sleeping bag,. I also took advantage of the Co-op sale and got a nice little thermostatically controlled Dimplex convector heater. We've decided to take the PopUp to the Norfolk meet as its quicker to set up and warmer than the tent, these items will add to the comfort. Now having gone to all this trouble to prepare for cold, wet windy weather, sod's law says its bound to turn hot, sunny and calm on the 8th-10..
We are camping for the weekend on the 15th. I have made a mental note to add extra blankets for little un, a hot water bottle to warm his bed up before he gets in and my small heater from my craft shed. We are off to a party on the 16th, whilst away, so at least can escape the rain then. Having said that with all the extras, hopefully it will be an indian summer and I wont need them

Its been damp and miserable here for weeks. I've not even felt like doing a bit of garden camping which the kids love. The grass has been wet - all the furniture toys have been wet - and its not inspired me to clear a small patch for the little tent. Definately not felt like taking the kids away for the odd night, close to home, which was my intention when the promised heatwave returned. To top it all, having looked at the forecast for next week - come Wednesday when the kids are back at school its going to be lovely. If it is I will probably cry.
Have only had one (wet) weekend away in my new TT and am planning at least one more b4 the end of "summer". fingers crossed though - I am a fair weather camper!
Well, in the tent this weekend it was surprisingly warm (I was at a medieval re-enactment so was only in the tent in the evening and overnight). Shame about the wind and rain though :(
