It won`t out us off camping, don`t worry about that. The tent seems to be fine, even though it is invading everyone`s bedroom plus the bathroom. It doesn`t feel damp and we keep moving it about. Hopefully we will be able to repack it on Monday.
I always take a big roll of kitchen papaer and dry my SIG away before packing, also I always use a ground sheet under the SIG which saves mud and wet on it and gives me a dry base on which to fold.
The best suggestion I have is same as others pull it from its bag and dry off as much as you can, in short intervals using a hair dryer on low heat work your way round the SIG.
Its hard work but worth it for a fresh smelling tent.
Oh and once its packed away stick a fabric conditioning sheet in the bag (extra freshness and smells good)

I've got the same problem tonight! I came back from a camping trip tonight where we had gale force winds and one of my poles snapped. I was just glad to finally shove the tent into the car! I have now left it in my lounge half erected (a khyam rapidex) and hope it will be dry for tomorrow. God knows what state it will be in, it was covered in mud where we (my 8 year old and I) were hanging on to it to stop it blowing away! As a single parent I prided myself on being able to erect the tent on my own, I never thought about getting it down in a gale force wind....

Hi there sorry you had a blow away tent hope its repairable.
At least your ok, at the end of the day its only a tent!
As we normally take the mankiest old tea towels with us when camping, their last job is always to dry the groundsheets from the tent inners. Usually unclip from the tent frame, unpeg half, fold it in half and mop the underside dry, then unpeng another half, fold and dry, and so on. Helps to pack it more tidily and means we know the SIGs are dry before they are put away!
The tea towels get a boil wash when they arrive home though....
We put our TT up on friday pm to dry, well it got wet through again overnight and yesterday am. Then because of the winds it has finally dried out. Today we have invited my parents for dinner, they dont know it yet but they are going to help us take it down. Its still very windy here and I dont think me and hubby will manage it on our own, we be going up like a kite with it.
