 hi everyone.

I have just seen the above tent 7 berth in a shop for £175.00 which is the best price i have found so far, has anyone got one of these tents and how do the hold up in bad weather also are they difficult to put up. we have just returned our outwell Oregan 5 due to bad leakage so don't know wether to buy this on or look for something different. the size we are looking for is simarler (Bad Spelling i know) to the outwell Oragen and Montana 4. there are only 2 off us so maybe the Wynnester is a little to big but the price is good what we do need is a large sleeping area and medium living area. Anyone got any ideas please we want it for next summer but want to buy it now, do tent companys have January sales on tents ?

Hope one of you out there can help

thanks a lot

Tincan

hi,we went camping in france this summer and we bought the outdoor revelution ithink it was the scenic 5 vrx well it was some thing like that, (its the one with the built in ground sheet)there are only two of us and it was plenty big enough we used all the bedroom space )it did have a wall but this can be removed, plenty of room for a queen size airbed + suitcase and any thing else, we were going to buy the montana 4 but i think what sold us on the scenic was there is a large canopy great for cooking outside plus eating. also a great looking tent very sturdy.

Hello we have a pegasus six and just love it  (we are a family of four) Took it to Angelsey this weekend and it with stood the worst of the weather. (read other posts about tents being lost) We decided to take it down and go home early as we didn't want a sleepless night with the winds only for the winds to drop half an hour later or get any worse.

We find it quite easy to pitch it and the light living space is great. Ask any questions you have

We have a pegasus 6 too. I have to say when we first used it we struggled to get it up - but having read tips on here we managed to get it up a lot easier last week. As we were away for a week I took my time getting it all pegged out properly and the grounsheet in etc but its still only about 30-40mins max to get it all up, groundsheet in and bedrooms in etc.
Its got loads of room, the smaller bedroom is tiny but myself and OH have that , (just fits a double airbed) and our children share the larger room with all the luggage/towels etc. We are considering next year a pop up tent for our eldest meaning we can have the larger room with our oungest in the smaller one.

The living area is huge and roomy, the advantage of the porch is that even in heavy rain you can have the door open (obviously depends on which way the rain is blowing) . We don't use the side doors when its wet as rain drips in then. The mesh doors on the side doors are great when its hot, and my main reason for buying was for the windows as our previous tent was very dark.

It can get quite draughty in the living area but if its not wet I tuck the flaps under the groundsheet, if its wet I peg them out.

We have just had a week in this tent with very bad rain for 3 days of it, and we managed very well.

tincan, the Pegasus is a fine looking tent and you have found one at a good price, but if you are looking for a touring tent for two people then I am not sure that it would be a very good choice for you.

I think you were on the right lines with your Outwell Oregon 5. What about a Vango Oregon 400 (same name, different tent!) for £99 http://www.outdoorfocus.co.uk/tall_fibreglass_steel_tents/Vango/Oregon/Vango_Oregan400_info.htm

or a Coleman  Bispace 400 for £100 http://www.norwich-camping.co.uk/product_details/3625.html ?

Both these tents would be much quicker to put up and down, take up less boot space when you are touring, provide a generous sleeping inner fo rtwo plus good sized living space.

And you'd have £70 more beer money for your holiday! MT
