I have a Wynnster Cygnus 8 and have only pitched it once so if I remember correctly, heres what I did.
1. Assemble all of the poles
2. Put the flysheet to one side, as its the last thing to go on.
3. Lay out the inner tent on the ground on the area where you want to pitch it.
4. If the tent is new, the doors on the inner tent should already be zipped shut.
5. Take a walk round your laid out inner tent and you will see little tabs with holes in them. One of the holes is for a peg (outer hole) and the other holes are for the ends of the poles to fit into. These tabs are colour coded. Some of the tabs might look silver but these are for the poles with the white ends.
6. Starting with the main dome of the tent, insert one of the colour coded poles that will go over the centre of the tent. Follow the colour coding and push them gently through the long sleeves on the inner tent. Don't try pulling them through or the poles will come apart.
7. Once you have all but the two poles for the extended porch in place, you can then send someone into the tent. They can crawl through the front door. If they then stand up and support the two main cross over/diagonal poles, you can then take one end and insert it in the appropriate colour coded hole in the little tab. Do the same on the other side of the pole.
8. When the main poles are in their tabs, the tent will start to take shape.
9. Keep adjusting the shape of your tent until you are happy, then peg the groundsheet to the ground via the holes in the tabs. (have a look inside the tent and make sure you're happy there are no wrinkles in the groundsheet)If its a bit windy, you should put a few pegs in before you raise the poles.
10. Once the tent is the right shape, you can make sure the inner tent is pegged down.
11. Pull the flysheet over the dome - I found it best working from the back of the tent to the front.
12. You can start to put in a few flysheet pegs and some guy ropes out.
13. On the inside of the flysheet are some little toggles on elastic. These go round the nearest pole on the inner tent. Just thread them through themselves and pull tight.
14. From here on its just adjusting and making sure everything is to your liking, then lots of pegging.
I didn't have time to pitch the tent before I went camping so the first time on site it was a bit daunting. However once you've pitched it, you'll be able to understand what the instructions were trying to tell you.
Hopefully you'll enjoy your tent. We're delighted with ours.
I had two people with me to help me out, so you will need at least one person to help you. I think sending the third person inside the inner tent to support the poles whilst we go them into their little colour coded holes, was a big help, so three is better than two.
Hope this helps. Any problems send me a message.
