Need to get rid of 2 bed Sunncamp vario and want to buy 3 bed for family hols in France next year. Some good prices at the minute, looking at Sunvalley 8 or Vango Aspen 5 DLX. Saw Vango on display today and very impressed. Need 3 bedrooms so can split kids up, like vango as our room would be in middle and kids either side, like porch area too. How easy is it to erect?

Any other suggestions? Needs to have SIG

Thanks

Hi Pager33 and welcome to UKCS, have you taken a look at the Aztec range of tents ,especially the Cantera9. This to has three separate bedrooms around a central living area with a full SIG. Also will give you about £100 change from the Vango.

I have a Campus Breckinridge with a SIG and it is the same shape as the Vango. Mine has 2 bedrooms but you can also get it with a third. We just had a windy weekend recently but the kids were happy in the living area. I got it for 200. There are 3 cross poles to erect the tent ; bedrooms easy; flysheet is easier without wind but after a few trips its no problem really , just patience. Ideal for longer trips.

Mike

thanks for the suggestions, will have a look.

Anyone else? Want something easy to put up, thinks the vango looks a bit complicated plus want a covered porch area which is why vango aspen appeals.

We bought a Coleman Columbus 8 since it had a good living area and 3 sleeping pods. This enables us to split the kids into their own sleep pods as well as having our own.

loads of space and easy to put up too... me and the oh have yet to swear at each other despite putting it up in some very wet and windy conditions a week ago!

There are loads of domes with three bedrooms, most with SIG are however, pitched inner-first (as is the Aspen, but not the SV8). Two that are pitched outer-first, hence, keeping you dry when pitching in the rain, are the Coleman Magellan 6/9 and the Outwell Nebraska models. The Nebraska has a nice porch as well. I would certainly look at these.

A near copy of the Apsen is the Sunncamp oasis - but from memory (could be wrong here) the bedrooms has only flimsy curtain dividers, unlike the Aspen.

Finally, the other you may want to have a look at is the Montana 12, as you could configure the sleeping pods to easily give you 3 and have a bit more living space.

have a look at the marechal vario 9. It has great versatility with the numerous bedroom arrangememnts and sleeps up to 9.
