Hi, I'm a bit new to this and have been looking to get a new tent.  The one we fancy is a outwell hartford xl but I have seen something about the models varying from 2005 models to 2006.

Can anybody help explain what the difference is between the models as I am getting a bit confused.

Not 100% sure what the difference is but HH seems to have been higher in previous model, however, we just bought this years and it rained LOTS and no leaking..... Bedroom zips were a struggle to do up but I think we pegged out too tight, but nice and cosy!

I think personally you will struggle to find the 2005 model as most places will have sold out long ago. I don't think buildwise they differ, but the colour scheme will.

I have a Hartford XL and love it. Definitely no leaks.

We have the 2006 model and while camping in Oxfordshire late July we had inch and a half of rain in just over an hour, not a drop in the tent.

thanks, I have seen the 2005 available on the yeomans website and think we'll give it a go as after looking into it a bit further we have found that the bedrooms are slightly bigger on the older model.

Biggest difference is that the bedroom pods are smaller on the 2006 model.  It's now portrayed as a 6 berth, 2005 was a 13 berth but that included 4 sleeping in the living area!!  HH is 3000 instead of 5000, colour is different and apparently the hooks on the fly sheet are non exisrtent on the newer version.  I also think that the 2006 model doesn't come with the poles to support the main door as a canopy but i may have drreamt that as it seems kind of odd to me.  As a bonus tho you now get a rather trendy outwell door mat!!
