 Hi we are looking to buy a tent suitable for weekends as have a frame tent for longer breaks.

Wondered if any one has a gelert Lokan Vario 6 and if they would recommend it for weekend use. 

The lokon vario 5 I have seen being pitched by newbie campers and they did not have to much probs pitching it.  Size wise it is a good size tent sorry cant tell you anymore than that I am sure some one will soon though

Haven't tried the Lokan Vario, but we did buy a Sunncamp Vario 6 a couple of years ago, and believe me it took three times as long to erect as our 6 berth frame tent   We sold it after just one short holiday.

We bought a smaller frame tent for weekend use a few months ago, and find it's quick to erect, plus, as it's only 13' x 10' we take less equipment with us, so we save time that way too   (Hey, let's face it, with a large frame tent you tend to find lot's more 'necessary' equipment to fill the space)

Hi, we have the vario 6 and do use it for weekends, it does take both of us to get it up, especially if its windy because there is such alot of material it can act as a huge wind sock lol.

We usually take about an hour and a half to get it up and pegged and roped out properly.

We love this tent and would recomend it to anyone it is excelent quality and the space is great.

Hi, we have the Gelert Lokon vario 6 & its a great, spacious  tent.

However,  we stopped using it for weekends as it took too long to pitch & we felt it was too much effort for 2 nights away. We now only use it for a stay of  5 days or more. We use our Khyam quick erect XL Classic tent for weekends as its up in no time at all.

I know someone who has one for sale in South Devon if you live anywhere near.
