Hi,

Ive had my new 12 up twice now in the garden, everything seems fine.however porch pole seems a little long for the job, I can get it ie the cups ok but it does press against the tent wall quite hard, I hav eread on previous posts that people have shortened them or got a relacment (shorter) pole.

So what would the recommended length be? My standard alloy poll is about 270cm is this OK or should I shorten it a bit?

There are a lot of threads running on here regarding the Outwells and particularly the Montana, why not do a search using the icon at the top of the page and entering keywords, so you can find info and advice.

Personally, I would not even think about shortening a pole on a brand new tent. Have you contacted the retailer on this?

It might be a fault (quite likely, from what I have read from other Outwell buyers recently) so you would be entitled to a replacement. If you mess about with it yourself you are likely to invalidate your warranty.
