Hi,
We are a family of 5 - 3 kids aged 13,11,2 and we bought the Montana 12 earlier this year after being Campus Breckenridge owners previously (that tent takes FOREVER to put up!)
The Monty 12 takes about 30 mins to erect (the first time being the most difficult as the tent is all factory rolled and you have to shake some air into it to make it easier to lift up). That's the thing with full SIG's - they are so sealed it's sometimes a job to get all the air out when you are rolling it back up....tip...leave all the windows and doors open before rolling away.
Anyway, as far as space goes, the Monty 12 will do you just fine - believe me, I take everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink LOL. We have even taken to using one of the pods with our folding table/chairs for meals. We find the porch a bit awkward, but like many other Monty 12 owners, we use this as the 'toilet' which gives total privacy for all concerned, and use the opposite door as our main entrance. We have just purchased the Outwell side canopy for this door so that on wet days we are not stepping right out into the rain .
There is a point for your electricity cable to come into the tent too and plenty of hanging pockets for all those little bits and bobs (we were thrilled with these as our last tent didn't have anywhere to store little things).
You won't go far wrong - it's a fab tent.
