Our frame tents are stored in heavy duty ripstop tarpaulin type bags, so the canvas always stays dry even out in the garage. Damp doesn't get in and the 30 year old tent has no signs of mildew or other damp damage despite many years of storage this way - we just unroll it over the kids swings on a spring sunny day to let it air for a while and then check it over. The type of material Cabanon use in their storage bags also seems to deter rodents (a toy pram lying next to the tent got well chewed one year). Curtains etc always end up washed and in the airing cupboard.

With a trailer tent now under the car port but destined for storage in the garden over the winter I now have new damp proofing headaches!

frontroom between the arm chairs makes a good coffee table between trips. we don't have garage or shead!!!!

Up in the attic, that said, it has been sat in the living room for the last month with all the rest of our gear, waiting until we make our last trip for this year in a couple of weeks.

Put mines in the boiler house where its nice and warm, every so often I stretch it out in the spare room to make sure theres no damp patches

 I HAVE BOUGHT A NEW TENT THIS YEAR,IT IS IN ITS OWN STORAGE BAG.KEEP IT IN A LEAK FREE GARDEN SHED  ,OFF THE FLOOR.IS THIS OK AS I AM LIMITED FOR SPACE IN THE HOUSE AND THE ATIC IS NOT AN OPTION .

Hi there! We have a rather large tent, so there is no way of us getting it into our loft. What we are planning to do though, is wrap the whole thing in strong plastic cover and place the tent inside our large car roof box, then place that in our dry shed. Hope this does the trick for us as we have nowhere else for it to go!

What a good idea! I might do that. I recently bought a roof box which will stay in the garage over winter!
