Hi guys,
        like a few others on here I'm probably in the market for a Monty 6 - to be honest about 95% sure, but . . . . . . . some of the comments QC issues and leaks slightly concern me. I'm not bothered about the other issues ref porch pole and tight SIG.
So, can you guys that have had leaks, advise where the leaks were coming from please? I'm sure it would help others on here that have bought one, concentrate on checking those areas before any warranties expired.

Romer old bean - welcome t't forum!!

Our M6 leaked where an extra layer of material was stitched into a seam on the fly sheet, viz:–

1. Cable suspension system
2. Bedroom pod suspension flaps (2 x 2 sides = 4 positions)
3. Over the side door (non-porch side)
4. Over the main (front) door

7 places in total

No problems with porch pole or SIG.

Poles show slight rusty-dust deposit on insides.

Swapped it for a replacement now - will let you know how that one is after this weekend.

Great tent, though, which is why we're persevering with it.

mine dont leak never has either, well tell a lie did when some ufo hit the tent during a storm putting a hole in it.

Have a look on my gallery, or elsewhere on this board.  Seams, particularly where the inner tent is suspended are suspect.

I couldn't recommend a Monty 6 to you after our experience, I've not had these sort of problems with any previous tent.

the number of montys made to how many have leaked whats been said on here is the odd few so few 99.9% dont leak i say.
