Hello, We have a Montana 4 and although We love the tent to bits, why doesnt the front door opening zip all the way round instead of leaving the bottom to flap about, surely it would make the tent warmer and stop our dogs from keep poking their heads underneath the bottom, maybe there is a reason why tent doors are mede like this, any comments

Ventilation possibly? I dunno but if it did zip all round then there wouldnt be any exchange of air and the condensation would be a nightmare!

Agree, I have always thought it dumb. If you don't have the mesh shut as well, it is easy for the rain to come under the door.

We just assumed that because the front of the tent is at an angle the bottom has no zip as it would leak water, but thinking about it it could have a valance on the outside!

We love our tent too but have yet to test it in a good deal of rain. Fingers crossed.

I also wondered why it didn't zip all the way around too. I have had heavy rain on mine and it didn't leak. but I did have the canopy up too ( a great bit of kit!! wouldn't be without it).
