Hi again peeps !

Can anyone tell me the knack of getting the SV8 tent back into the original holdall please as at this rate I will have to resort to packing it away in a wheelie bin size bag !! There was no air in it !

Hi

I have a SV6 and have had the same problem - my solution...

Fisrtly make sure the inner partition section of you tent is open as well as the front door unzipped, this helps the air escape and makes putting up alot easier too

Fold the tent in half, ie, left side over to rght side making sure ring pins are on the outer edge and don't pierce ground sheet

fold in half again and again until you end up with a long thin strip with ring pins still on outside edge

Roll the tent from the back end tightly towards the door at the front

Unroll it and reroll

It may seem obvious but I hadn't realised that rolling twice actually gets rid of alot of air that makes it more bulky

I always manage to get the tent back in its bag, but can never manage the poles as well. It's too heavy with poles in the main bag so that suits me.

Good luck

Leila

We have a SV 8 and had the same problems at first, even after watching the outwell video couldnt get it right...... but we sorted it out.

once you have all of the poles and pegs out fold the front section (without the groundsheet) back over into the rest of the tent.  Try to keep it even.  Throw all of the ropes in any way you can.

Make sure that the bottoms of the doors are still open, no need for them to be open all of the way.

Square off the rest of the tent formed by the sewn in ground sheet, then fold into thirds.  Folding in from the sides.

What you have left fold in half again along its length.  This should then be about the same width as the carry bag.

The important bit here is to then start rolling from the back of the tent (where the two bedrooms hang) and keep it tight.  This forces out any air.  Have the carry bag ready at the end of the rolling and it should go right on in.  Good luck.

Matt - have you had any problems with the ground sheet not sitting down easily against the ground.  We are going through Outwell trying to resolve problems, other than that it is a great tent.

I roll and reroll mine aswell. Have never had a problem getting it back into the bag.

I also roll around on it much to my OH's amusement!
