This is part of the email I have recieved from Mr Jennings with regards my Montana 6 Tent leaking.

"Further to your other comments we have not experienced any serious
problems this season with the quality and performance of our tents. There have
obviously been a few isolated cases of some tents not performing as
expected  and these do seem to have been highlighted on website chat rooms." Mark Jennings

He must read these posts even if he dos'nt respond to the majority of emails

If there have only been 'a few isolated cases' then why cannot he not respond to the few isolated e-mails that will have been sent to him about them.

The straw poll on here and comments from retailer suggest that the problems are anything but isolated.

Although not having a tent in question, I do think it is a pity that the suppliers don't particpate in the forums

Some do and have. Towsure was an excellent example of a company actively joining in the debate, sometimes to concede a point, and sometimes to make a valid point.

When complaints come in and "being ignored" seems to be the order of the day, then it is time to worry.

After all, it doesn't say much for customer satisfaction.

Maybe there are lots of faulty tents in suppliers warehouses waiting to be returned that Outwell are not yet aware of ?

when I returned Marks emailed and commented about why Outwell did not recall the faulty tents this was his reply.

"Further to your comments we are not aware of an ongoing fault in any of our
tents so have not and will not be making any recalls - any comments by staff at retail stores are made at their discretion as we are fully aware that we do not have a problem with our tents here in the UK."     Mark Jennings

It would seem that I am the only one who made a complaint about the Montana 6. I must have mis-read the posts on this site, sorry. Mark

Amazing customer relations. "Head in sand "springs to mind!

Wouldn't touch one of his tents with a barge pole!

Otherwise known as 'Ostrich Philosophy', perhaps?

These threads have been really informative, thus far, as have highlighted the same problems time and time again. I for one don't think this is just coincidence, so have decided not to buy the Sun Valley 8 this year after all.

Mr Jennings' email has been the decider for me; had they held their hands up a bit more readily it would have restored my faith in them. A company who is in denial is not a company I would readily deal with.

This thread could save a lot of people a lot of trouble this season, and hopefully go some way to helping others get fair play. Well done, redz!
