Argos advertise this at £89:99 which seems a bargain, but how many posters have one and what are they like.

As a rule I normally like to inspect a tent erected before I commit to spending my hard earned cash so any light on the subject is gratefully reccieved

   thanks Terry

Hi Terry - if you read the threads that lornev has posted a link to, you will see that Pro Action tents from Argos are regarded as ok starter tents for the money, but they do not compare well to better known makes. I did see one of these at a festival this year, and if I remember correctly it has no windows and the ventilation seemed lacking. However, the folks who were in it said they had got it 2nd hand for a few quid and used it just for festies as they did not want their good tent to risk being trashed.

So I guess it depends what you are wanting it for. If you are after a cheap n cheerful tent for occasional use in places where it's quality won't be a problem, then it could be ok - after all it is a BIG tent for that price. If however, you want something a bit more versatile and long lasting then you would be better advised putting your £90 towards something more costly but better quality.

I have a nevada 5  , its not a bad tent we went to mablethorpe  earlier in the year  on C&CC site just as the weather turned nasty we had torrential rain , almost gale force winds and the  tent  stood up to it all withput a problem ,  it  does have windows  , one on each side  and  two at the front all with  curtains ,  only  possible  problem is that the  bedroom divider is  neither  use nor ornament but  didnt bother us  as  i'd rather have the  grandkids where i can see them at night

We have the nevada 8, its a good tent, easy to put up spacious and easy to pack away.  The only problem we had was at Easter, the weather was very cold and windy.  The wind did blow in, but the tent stood up no problem.  We have now got a Nebraska because of the sig, still use the nevada for the odd weekend.

we also have the nevada 5 and yes it has windows and ventalation flaps, you can choose to either have the windows blocked up with the inner flaps or tie the flaps back to revel the window

we too had winds and slashing rain and the tent stood up well with no leaks
