Hi all

Hope somebody can help me with this.  We have an Indiana 8 Tunnel tent which we open up in the middle (see pics) so we can use the bedrooms either end.  The problem is the side entrance doesn't have any side tapered seam (you know to let the rain run off) so when we put the door up (if it is raining like last year) inside of the tent gets soaked.  So we thought of getting a day tent (tryed gazebo but rain still got in the side of the doorway and if we are in the tent i like to leave the door open, rain or shine!!).  but having trouble trying to get something that will fit well with a tunnel tent.  We are fairly new to camping so please any suggestion would be great

I apogise if this sound a bit funny to everyone, it was a bit hard to explain what i want

thank all

what about something like this is ment to fit on all tunel tents I believe from what I have seen from the campus indiana it is a lille lower that the outwell tents so should fit nicely. The canpoy is bigger than it looks, big enough to fit a cooker under.

Thank Katieays, that canopy looks good.  Do you have it for your tent.  Do you use the side door, if so how do you manage to keep the rain out.

Hi Crispie,

We know exactly where you are coming from as have experienced the same problem when it rains when in our campus/khyam Indiana 8.  After much thought we remedied the problem with a Coleman Classic awning.  Very lightweight and small to pack (which was essential for us) and we thought worth a try at only £30.00. Did look at the Outwell side canopy which I think would fit but decided to try the cheaper option.  We were very happy with it.  We last set up on a windy day and it nearly took off but once pegged securely it stayed in place!  Can be quite noisey on a windy night when wind gets underneath it but pros far outweighed cons.  We kept dry and it gives lots of extra space to put table and chairs boots etc. Sorry not able to do links but a google search brings up loads.  We love our Indy and the awning is a great extra to have in our opinion.

Hope this is of use

Sadie
