If you buy from somewhere like www.worldofcamping.co.uk then you are unlikely to purchase elsewhere for much less as they are already amongst the most competitive.
The Outwell Vermont XL (assuming that is what you are referring to) is a new model, so you can't purchase a 2006 model....incidentally, we've pre-ordered the Vermont XL from World of Camping at a price of £489.
I monitored a few tents last year and the prices didn't change a whole lot until they hit the sales in Sept/Oct. Some of those that had special offers for 'pre-ordering' went up in price - they were the popular models, so I suppose it depends.
