Hello

Has anyone got ( or seen ) the Coleman awning, we have a Coleman canyon 8 and miss having a porch area. I've seen these on various web sites and they look quite good.  If anyone has any info I would really appreciate some advice on these.

Sorry, I cannot give any help with the question but this will push you back to the top for someone else to answer.

Thanks for that Pauline, if I don't get any joy I will probably ask again in a month or so.

Hello Sarah

We have the Coleman classic awning, purchased last year.  We originally bought it as although we love eveything about our canvas/Khyam Indiana 8 we did want a porch and something to stop the rain cascading in on us when opening the door.  We opted for the coleman mainly for pack size (small) ,cost (£30.00) and it being lightweight.  We were very happy with it.  It impersonated a large kite when we first put it up on a windy day but was secure when pegged down firmly.  It does tend to flap around rather noisely at night however we were on a particularly windy site.  Second time of use weather was much calmer, it did just what we asked of it namely giving us lots of extra space.  We set up table and six chairs when wet and it was great for keeping wellies dry etc.  Really glad we made the purchase.

Hope this helps.

Sadie

Got a coleman awning to give us extra room 'outside' & to provide some cover for our doorway. Superb. So good in fact we don't need such a big tent & are looking for something smaller to rig the awning on!

HTH, Paul
