Hallo all

This is Grant's missus here. We have a Coleman Weathermaster that has seen better days and it's time for something new. Liked the look of the Vango Vail 700. Had a look at lots of Outwells online, but lots of you seem to have had bother with them. We don't need to have the latest model and we would like to make use of the winter prices while they're around.

We live in Scotland and tend to camp near the sea. So whatever we choose must be good in the wind. Oh and I don't do wet either, so leakage is not an option.

There's only the two of us, but we take lots of toys (canoe, wet suits, paddles, table etc) camping, so plenty of living space is essential.

How's that for a challenge?

Grant just pointed out that I didn't actually say what I'm after..Doh

I would appreciate any advice on what tent to buy to suit the requirements above.

I look forward to benefiting from your experience.

LL

Hello Grant's Missus,

If weight isn't a problem, then a good canvas tent will stand up to anything our excellent Scottish weather can throw at it.

Thanks chaps.

We've finally settled on an Outwell Montana 6 2007 model and pre-ordered it from World of Camping.
http://www.worldofcamping.co.uk/
They did us a price match too.

Grant fancied a canvas tent, but I just can't convince myself to like them. They just remind me of what tents all looked like when I was a kid. I may well be proven wrong...

Thanks again.

LL
