Hi, my first post. Having not camped since i was a teenager and a bit behind times but trying to catch up fast on latest tents..
I've been offered an attwooll berkeley by a friend of a friend. I cannot find piccies or great detail anywhere, except for bits on attwooll site. can anyone tell me their thoughts on it, especially if you have one yourself or have owned one??
hi, dont know where you are but Attwoolls, near Gloucester have one on display, was in there at the weekend. Think they are selling it new for £219 in their sale.
Hi, I have the Attwoolls Bibury, very pleased with it, quality is excellent, and all Attwoolls own brand tents are actually manufactured by Khyam. I know this because one day when I was there so was a Khyam Rep and he told me!
My Bibury stood up to some pretty tough weather last year, not one single leak and nice and snug with the SIG too. The Berkeley is a huge tent, but If you've been offered one, go for it!
I went to Attwolls last Friday to look at this tent, the 2006 Berkeley has a seperate groundsheet, the new 2007 version has been updated to a SIG. A great looking tent and loads of space for £219.
I think the 2007 price is £250-£260, there will also be an option to purchase a side canopy that reaches the floor with the 2007 model, an additional cost as they are being sold separately. Take a look at the Khyam site, the Indiana 8 is basically the same tent, more details on specification there, I also know they are calling it the Ontario 8 in 2007, that also has been upgraded to a SIG. and the mesh on the doors has been replaced as they had problems with ripping.
When I spoke to them they only told me about updates to the current range, We looked at a lot of tents, they didn't mention new styles. Only that the 2007 models are due in store at the end of Feb.
