We have a very small gas bottle to use with the cooker - and when we travel we put it in the floorwell in the front passenger side of the car with sleeping bags around it to pad it out.

Where do you put yours ?

Is there any safety issues in transporting these bottles ??

You travelling with several gallons of fuel under you all the time ,the gas bottle doesn't add any extra danger !

You do need to have a warning sticker though if its carried in a trailer !

Mine goes in the bucket with lid then in the boot.

hahaha   You are not wrong

Think we will stick to what we are doing then !!

One of us sits in the back with daughter and act as the entertainment team.

So in the front passenger side in the floorwell the gas bottle then on the seat and above the bottle we put the tent and hammer.
