HELP!!!!

I really need a warm, possibly hot sleeping bag!!  We are planning to go away at Easter and remembering last year it was freezing on a night!!  I ended up with two zipped together and folded round me!!  The problem is I need an Xl or even an XXL as I tend to feel slighty restricted and claustophobic when zipped up for the night, I am also not of the small size!!  Any ideas please.

If you already have two sleeping bags of a size that suits you, could you just put one inside the other, and you inside both of them? We have done this before. Also, keeping your extremities warm is very important - a hat and a good pair of socks can make a lot of difference to how much heat your body retains.

Gunnars OH here. We bought 2 Vango Astral 350's last year. Fair size, very soft and snug. Did not use when very cold, but would have faith in it keeping me warm.

Thumbs up for the Vango Nitestar 300XL.  My husband and I both bought them last year and we were actually too hot at night when we used them in May, July and during a chilly bank holiday weekend.  If you get them with opposite zips you can also join them together to make a double.

First off, are you sleeping on air-beds on the floor?

If so, get off the floor, that is your main problem. Put something to insluate the air-bed from the floor or even beter switch to a campbed with a self-inflator on top.

Secondly, wear a suitable hat in bed - you lose 25% of your body heat out of your head.

Thirdly wear thermals in bed.

A single decent sleeping bag is all you need.

Look pretty good for the money twynholmblack, but I dont think the nylon inner lining will be very comfortable, could get a bit sweaty.  The cotton/flannel linings are much cosier and feel nice against the skin!
