Have a 2005 Vango Diablo 600, but I'm getting that strong 'I fancy a new tent!' feeling.

Looked at the Outwell Montana 6 (would like the Bear Lake, but to heavy), simply because it will give us the extra interior space for the me, 2 kids and OH, and it's easier to pitch in the rain/wind/sun.

Having that nagging doubt about swapping between what seems to be regarded as two of the best tents. Anybody like to offer opinions why I should or shouldn't .Or for that matter choose something completely different.

Cheers, in advance.

Cant offer you any advice but I can fully understand how you feel with that feeling of should I or shouldnt I get a new tent. Deliberated over the Bear Lake myself but have decided to keep the Aspen this year and look at the end of this year/ start of next for a new tent. For the money I think the Bear Lake looks excellent but then again the Montana is so popular, looks roomy and easy to erect. However I think the Montana accessories are very tempting and if it was me I would want them all which makes it a pricey new tent!! Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thanks Page33,

Fot those interested Go Outdoors (Stockport) have the Bear Lake on display upstairs. It's a fanastic tent, looks good, the fabric is so good you wonder how it wouldn't leak! But still too heavy for us. And I refuse to have a trailer and those assocaited speed limits.

Your head would say "whot is the point in changing really".

You heart would say "sure go for it... it is exciting".

Me, I would say if you are going to change at least upgrade to somehting signficantly better. Hence, save your money this year and get the pollycotton Outwell next year,.
