We finally made a decision and went for the Vango Colorado 800 DLX. The 2006 model can be had for £199, so we were sensible and got one of those instead of the funky new 2007 model with cool orange interior!
Went to Camperlands in Manchester as they supposedly have a "show" on in February, but must say that was really disappointing. They did have a fair few tents on display, but not many family sized dome tents. So that was a waste of time - instead we went back to Outdoorworld (?) in Liverpool and had another look at our two favourites, the Colorado and the Brekenridge dlx, and the Colorado won. It's quite funny because I was really set on getting a tent with a SIG, but along the way I changed my mind, not sure why really ;o)
Anyway, thanks for all your input and advice!
