a coleman trispace polycotton, been watching it all week on ebay, it's been returned to world of camping with a couple of minor faults. Decided on a limit of £53 and managed to keep to it. I just bid a minute too soon, got to refine my bidding technique! Someone got a bargain at only £54 though.
It was someone with no feedback that hadn't bid on it before that last minute. Never mind, would have been perfect for me the kids and the dog though, we don't have enough space with the dog in the buzzard 4 and he's put his claws through the flysheet in a couple of places too. Big tent's too big for just us without charlie for a weekend.
i have started putting the time on the telly when i bid so i can set a maximum and bid in the last 15 - 20 seconds, sometimes have missed the end though, but works a vast majority of the time.
OH just got 2 x 4.5kg calor bottles and a Campingaz bottle (all empty) for £20. 4 other bidders pushed it up. As he says you set your limit and live with it. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but to be outdone for £1 is gutting. Feel for you!

We must be experts - we are out standing in our chosen fields!
Lets hope the deal doesn't go through for some reason and you get a second chance. Sometimes I have missed what I wanted and because I had it on watch, I got a message from ebay saying it had been relisted.
When bidding on ebay I can recommend using a "Snipe" tool. e.g. http://www.auctionstealer.com/home.cfm
You can put in your maximum bid and it will automatically bid for you in the last few seconds.
Great if you get easilty distracted with other things like do!

after the massive increase in stolen accounts i would urge you to think long and hard about this
for a snipe tool to work you need to tell a total stranger your ebay name and password so they can acess your account and bid for you
6 or 12 months down the line someone suddenly guesses your password and hijacks your account...................hmmmmmm if people are willing to pass their log in details to a free tool ask yourself how the snipe company makes its money to pay for servers ect they sell on your email addy and in some cases your personal details ect.......you dont get anything for free in this world
its your call
