I have just bought a Cabanon Aruba.  It does not have a groundsheet.  What do I buy?  Buy the standard Aruba groundsheet - (if i ever find one!)? What is it made of?

Or do I go for the newer fabrics available and have some cut to size?

There seems to be many of these new materials around but I don't know what to do for the best. I want to protect the grass (although we rarely stay in one place for more than a week, so not much harm occurs.) and we want something we can clean reasonably easily.

Any advice much appreciated.

Hi Tina and Duncs, welcome to UKCS.

Sorry I can't help you with your query but you might be better asking the place you bought the tent from, alternatively searching the internet for Cabanon Aruba dealers, e.g.

http://www.camping-intl.com/products/tents/cabanon/frame-tents/aruba

http://www.norwich-camping.co.uk/product_details.php?products_id=4201

http://www.yeomansoutdoors.co.uk/products.asp?recnumber=281

I have never used these companies myself though, although I'm sure someone on here will have!

The thing you'll find with more and more sites now is their preference for 'breathable' ground sheets, such as the ones on the site below-

Thank you for all your replies and advice. Having spent today at the Outdoor Show in NEC we have decided to go with the eco -friendly types.

Having read some reviews we have concluded that the open weave options are not for us. So are considering Liteweave, Carpetina and Comfimat.

Any of your experiences of any of these would be appreciated.
