All the sites and previous posts about where to buy the electric hookups all link to units with a 10amp MCB.

Is it even possible to get a 16 amp version? Are many campsites actually rated at 16 amps and is it worth trying to track one down or paying the extra money?

there is only 2 makes on the market one is by powerparts and the other is by sunncamp they are both the same  and are identical in every detail

here is the details again from features/tip on ukcs

single/triple 13 amp socket(s), a distribution box with a transparent window housing a 10amp double pole MCB and 25amp RCD. This should be in an integral housing and physically protected to a minimum of IP44.

This in turn is connected to cable with a BS EN 60309-2 plug (Commando Type) at the opposite end.

These are sold complete at most reputable camping outlets. They are available with a single socket outlet as shown above or three socket outlets as shown below.

You cannot sensibly expect to pay less than £50.00 for the single unit, more for the triple unit, so if anything is selling for less than this, treat it with caution

The CC pitches are rated at 16 amp as I understand it but the CC and C & CC sites carry notices asking people not to use more than 1kw in cold weather when sites are full as the system would not cope with higher loads.

I have only ever been on a site once when the site tripped out and that was when someone drove away with the hookup still attached !!

HRH nearly missed the second half of the match.
