I have just received the following Email from Outwell re the new carpet range, They are replying very quickly this year. See below

Our carpet has just arrived! its lovely and soft, quite heavy so hopefully should solve the prob of billowing SIG. The colour is nice (the pictures on the webs sites don't do it justice. As for it moving about we will have a table with fride and a lardder on it so that should keep it put.

The only problem I have with it so far is that it won't go back in the box! it comes with some grey straps to hold it rolled up but I can't get them to fit for love nor money, did you get your straps on Rickit?

Waiting for mine to arrive any minute,  haven't seen one in a tent yet does anyone know  - does the carpet go all the way under the bedrooms in the Monty 6 as well or does it just cover the living area?

We used our carpet for the first time at the weekend, and what a difference it makes! It was lovely and cosy underfoot even at night. it didnt ruk up at all. It has stoped the problem of billowing ground sheet. it did get a bit messy with cut grass but because the pile is so short it is easy to sweep it off. Although i was a bit paranoid about wet shoes on it, this was only a problem first thing with the heavy dew.

To answer you question lisa, no it only goes about 4 inches under the bed pods, just enough to keep it held in place. and it is shaped around the central bed pod achorage point.

Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend getting one.

All I need now is a hoover 

OMG I want one too. Can anyone tell me where I can get one online.

Thanks Happy Hippy  mine arrived this morning!  can't wait to try it now - got to wait until whit  though       might have to get it out and have feel of it 'under foot' before then!

I did think to myself now where can I buy that camping hoover!! but that would be leaning far too near the edge of the slippery caravan slope (definitely no thank you!)

Each trip our camping friends laugh whilst laying  bets on how long it will take me to get out my long handled broom - as I am a compulsive sweeper! they even tried hiding it once, but I'm sure a good shake will sort the carpet out if needs must
