nibbo, do you find you always have to ensure the front doorway on your Norfolk Lake is closed, at first sight of rain, so that water doesn't come into the tent?
We considered a Norfolk, then went for the Bear Lake because of the straight front and zip-off canopy, but would have quite liked the additonal bedroom inner.
Just wondering if we made the right decision.....
(But, we are NOT having this 'Red Sea'; we already have a Cabanon utility tent, and that weighs a ton (but is fab, to be fair). If we do go for another untility - for weekend use - we'd go for the Outdoor Revolution Outhouse (I think) because of the very small pack size and weight. And, hey, it's grey; it'll go with anything!).

Hi Nick,
If you're looking for a secondary tent to Cook, Eat and Relax in when its chucking it down. Or just to free up space in your Norfolk Lake, then do what we've done.
We bought an Outwell Oklahoma Day Tent last year.
It's bigger than the utility/cooking tents and therefore has more versatility. We got one to match the colour of our SV8, but I believe Outwell do them in the Green so should match up to your Norfolk Lake. I think you'll find a few recent threads on this subject if you decide to investigate further.
Hope this helps,
Pete.

Thanks Gunnar....I've seen the Oklahoma day tents and they are indeed very nice. However, the Red Sea is a bit smaller which is a big plus when the Norfolk Lake we have is so big (fitting it all on the pitch) and it's polycotton so it matches our tent perfectly...a bit snobbish i suppose but these things can get very addictive when you have to co-ordinate everything. There are others on here who are worse than me!!
Nick

Hi Nick,
Other than having to pay an extra couple a quid night...not had any problems..being over 7m long we already tend to pay a premium.
Although we've got fairly big tents they are of a uniform shape, so don't tend to spread out like the large dome tents (eg. nebraskas, diablos etc etc).
I believe (and peeps on here will correct me if I'm wrong) that campsites are more forgiving towards large tunnel tents compared to domes. I've probably started something by saying that, but there you go.
Only thing you might find is that campsites with regulated pitches may site you on a large touring pitch. Well it'll give you room to spread out...hehe.
Cheers,
Pete.
